Christmas Haiku 2021

originally posted on Facebook Dec 2021

Advent is now here

heralding the birth of Christ

bringing hope and peace.

~

Look up to the sky!

There’s light on the horizon,

a better world dawns!

~

Christ was born for us,

Son of God, given for us,

Jesus, Lord of Love.

~

Wonderful Saviour,

accept our heartfelt praise as

we bow in wonder.

~

We join with the angels

watching and waiting, singing

psalms and songs of joy.

~

Each heart and each life

transformed by the light of grace

brings God glory and joy.

~

Wake up! Speak up! Pray:

“God, may your kingdom come and

may your will be done.”

~

Enthralled with fresh hope

the weary world announces:

“Christ, our newborn King!”

~

Christ, show your mercy,

strengthen, comfort and console

all those who suffer.

~

As we remember

the first coming of Christ, we

look for His return.

~

The joy of first light –

grateful, thankful, blessed by

His grace and glory.

~

The future looks bright,

eternal hope found in Christ,

He calls His Bride home!

~

Adored and blessed,

desired Bride, perfectly loved

by her Bridegroom-King.

~

No longer alone,

we learn from Him and trust in

His guidance and strength.

~

We watch, eagerly

waiting, until the promised

return of Jesus.

~

Jesus, born to save,

rescued, forgave and restored

His people on earth.

~

Restored, forgiven,

our hearts, minds, wills submitting,

our spirits reborn.

~

I will bless the Lord

and praise His glory and grace

for eternity.

~

God so loved the world

that He gave His only Son;

can you believe it?

~

God did not give Christ

in order to condemn us

but to save our souls.

~

Look to the sky for

the dawn of redeeming grace –

Christ is coming back!

~

Listen, Bride of Christ:

“You are His and He is Yours”.

Rejoice and be glad!

~

May the light of Hope

sustain us in the darkness

of pandemic life.

~

Celebrate His birth!

Look forward to His return!

Come, Lord Jesus, come!

~

The Word became flesh

and Christ’s light shone among us

His glory revealed.

~

Hope entered our world

God Incarnate revealed in

humble surroundings.
